Based on the statements issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on April 24, 2021, October 14, 2021 and October 27, 2021, and based on the historical roots, deep ties and common destiny that bind the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announces in a statement that the State of Kuwait has decided to summon Its ambassador to the Lebanese Republic for consultations, and the departure of the Chargé d’Affairs of the Lebanese Embassy to the State of Kuwait within 48 hours, in view of the Lebanese Republic’s glorification and its persistence in negative statements and the failure to address the rejected and reprehensible stances against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the rest of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, in addition the failure of the Government of the Lebanese Republic to take measures to deter the continuous and increasing smuggling of the scourge of drugs into Kuwait and the rest of the GCC countries.   The Ministry of Foreign Affairs added, while regretting what happened,  it affirms its concern for the Lebanese people residing in the State of Kuwait and assured they are not to be affected.
