According to Kuwaiti Cabinet Resolution No. 1396 issued on 11 November 2013 approving the formation of a committee headed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the membership of each of the official bodies concerned with the implementation of Security Council resolutions issued under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter related to combating terrorism and the financing of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, Which specializes in implementing the resolutions issued by the Security Council and taking the necessary procedures and measures to implement resolutions No. 1267(1999),1373(2001), 1988 (2011), 1718 (2006), 2231 (2015), 2253 (2015), and other relevant resolutions.
