Department of Protocol Affairs Specializations: -

• Supervises the works of protocol for H. E. the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister.
• Supervises the implementation of the State’s protocol procedures in relation to official activities and events. 
• Organizes the official visits of foreign delegations to the State of Kuwait.
• Supervises and organizes the meetings and conferences that are held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 
• Follows up on the matters of protocol with Kuwait’s diplomatic missions abroad and official foreign missions accredited in the State of the Kuwait. 
• Follows up on the accreditations and nomination procedures of the Kuwaiti heads of diplomatic missions abroad.
• Follows up on the accreditations and nomination procedures of foreign heads of diplomatic missions in the State of Kuwait.
• Organizes and specifies the extent of diplomatic immunity, exemptions and benefits.
• Issues airport clearance passes.
• Issues diplomatic and private passports. 
• Issues diplomatic identifications for the foreign diplomatic missions and regional accredited organizations in the State of Kuwait. 
• Coordinates with relevant authorities in the State of Kuwait to issue the necessary visas for entering the country.
