His Excellency Ambassador Majdi Ahmed Al-Dhafiri, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, received Her Excellency Ambassador Marta Morgan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, and her accompanying delegation, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Where they held negotiations during which a number of aspects of friendly relations between the two countries were discussed and ways to develop and enhance them, in addition to developments on the regional and international arenas. Ambassador Morgan praised the role played by the State of Kuwait in supporting security and stability. She also thanked the State of Kuwait's humanitarian role in facilitating the evacuation operations carried out by Canada of its diplomats, nationals and others from Afghanistan.
 
The negotiations were attended by Ambassador Ayham Abdullatif Al-Omar, Assistant Foreign Minister for the Deputy Minister's Office, Minister Plenipotentiary Salah Salman Al-Haddad, Assistant Foreign Minister for the Americas Affairs, and Alia Mwani, Canadian Ambassador to the State of Kuwait.
